Welcome to Frugal Feeds!

As the name suggests – we’re all about being Australia’s best place for news, deals and reviews for eating frugally! But we’re not your typical ‘cheap eats’ site.

But what does eating frugally mean?

frugal
ˈfruːɡ(ə)l/
adjective
1. sparing or economical as regards money or food.
2. simple and plain and costing little.

Eating frugally doesn’t necessarily mean eating cheap – it means eating economically. So while we’re going to cover plenty of cheap eats, we’re also planning to cover restaurant dining as well – as long as there’s a good deal for it! Not only that, we’re planning to cover anything interesting, unique and exciting in the frugal eating world, whether it’s fast food or fine dining.

Wait… fast food? Does that mean that you’re going to review cheeseburgers from Macca’s?

Nope! We are however, interested in the happenings in the fast food world and will post up the news and reviews of their latest products and promotional offerings and the latest coupons.

Wait… cheap eats? Does that mean that you’re going to review a hot dog from the servo up the road?

Nope! However we are on the look out for anywhere unique and interesting. So while we might not review your local servo up the road we might take a look at somewhere especially unique – for example, a place that offers a nowhere-else-to-be-found food item or a place with an amazing bargain.

Wait… FINE DINING? How could that possibly be frugal?

Like we said – frugal dining doesn’t necessarily mean cheap dining! We’re always on the look out for good deals for food places that might not fit the typical ‘cheap eats’ mould. So, for example, if The Fat Duck decides to offer a once-in-a-lifetime dinner special, we’re more than happy to check it out.

So we’re not your typical ‘cheap eats’ blog – we’re not just covering food on the cheap and we’re not food snobs either. We’re going to cover food from a diverse range of cuisines, and we’re going to cover food from a wide range of dining establishments, cheap or expensive, as long as it’s frugal!
