FEATURE: Sydney Good Food & Wine Show (August 7-9)

The Good Food & Wine Show is back for another year at the Sydney Showgrounds, starting Friday the 7th of August and finishing on Sunday August 9. The show features tastes, flavours, tastes and techniques from hundreds of exhibitors around the world and of course, Frugal Feeds will be on hand to cover all the action from the event!

Celebrities and Experts

As always, some well-known Australian culinary experts will be joining for the event, including:

  • Adam Liaw, Masterchef Series 2 winner and host of SBS show Destination Flavour
  • Alastair McLeod, chef and TV personality
  • Dan Hong, chef, winner of 2014 Chef of the Year at the Good Food Guide Awards
  • Gary Mehigan, chef and Masterchef judge
  • Kirrily Waldhorn, beer expert
  • Miguel Maestre, head chef of ‘Number One’ and TV personality on Channel Ten’s The Living Room (pictured below, from official website)

Cellar Door

Included with your entry ticket, The Cellar Door gives you the sample four different wines over thirty minutes from different regions, learning how to taste and identify different varieties and how to best appreciate them.

Beer & Cider Hall

New this year, the Beer & Cider hall features events including Brewology, Flavour = Taste + Aroma, Beer Blendology, Spotlight on Belgian Ales and Cider Exploration and is designed to update you on the latest and greatest happening’s in the beer and cider world.

Good Food Theatre

Features chefs and restaurateurs on stage as they cook dishes live, including Gary Mehigan, Sarah Wilson, Adam Wilson and Sammy and Bella from My Kitchen Rules.

Grazing Garden Sydney

The place in the show to share a bite or drink, including Agape (organic street food) and Tsuru (Asian Street fare).

Creative Kitchen

Sammy and Bella from My Kitchen Rules will be on hand to teach you how to cook simple meals, including Panettone & Calzone, Fried Chicken, Sri Lankan Curry and Salted Caramel Tarts.
