IMPRESSIONS: Chilli Con Carne @ Burrito Bar
There have been quite a lot of Mexican eateries that have been popping up around in Brisbane. Burrito Bar is one of them and although their specialty is in burritos, I opted for a Chilli Con Carne as I’ve been missing Chilli (aka chilli cooked with beans and mince) ever since my trip to the USA over a year ago.
Winter in Brisbane has been quite windy and I’m sure you can tell by now that I love a good, ‘hearty’ feed. The flavours were rich, and quite filling with the mince and sour cream pictured. The chilli giving the dish a kick which went well with the tortilla chips. For $12.50, it’s almost enough to share between a friend but with Chilli this good you may be able to finish it without realising it!
There are 8 shops in Brisbane with a 9th one to open in Clayfield soon:
- Spring Hill
- Everton Park
- Marsden
- Cooparoo
- Portside
- Rosalie
- Southbank
- Victoria Point.
I went to the one in Hamilton Portside and it was a quick and easy meal to grab before seeing a movie at the Dendy Cinemas nearby. As it is a franchise store, it shouldn’t be too difficult to order this dish at any of the above mentioned places!
Chilli Con Carne
Price: $12.50
