Uber One Announces Membership Changes from 7 December 2025

Uber One Announces Membership Changes from 7 December 2025 2Uber is introducing a series of changes to the Uber One Membership Programme from 7 December 2025, and while the company says members will still enjoy the usual benefits, many of the adjustments appear to make the program less favourable for regular users.

The headline perks, including $0 Delivery Fee on eligible orders, 5% Uber One Credits on eligible rides, and access to member-only offers technically remain, but the conditions around them are tightening in ways that may make them harder to use in practice.

Variable Minimum Spend for $0 Delivery Fee

One of the most significant changes is the overhaul of the $0 Delivery Fee benefit. Instead of a consistent minimum order requirement, Uber will now use a dynamic threshold that may rise depending on the time of day, demand levels, and distance from the restaurant. In other words, the minimum spend could increase during busy evenings, weekends, or during peak demand.

Service Fee Discounts

Uber One’s Service Fee savings are also becoming more variable. Previously, members could rely on a clear and consistent discount. Now, the amount saved will vary from order to order, with no guarantee of the discount. Uber says users will see the discount at checkout, but this shift introduces uncertainty and could reduce the overall value of the membership.

Additional Fees

Uber is also formalising additional charges on certain types of orders, including those placed from stores outside standard delivery zones or during times of high demand. While these fees already appear occasionally, the updated terms indicate they are now expected, not exceptional.

These surcharges will stack on top of delivery and service fees (where applicable), diminishing the practical savings Uber One members receive particularly in suburbs with fewer nearby restaurants or during busy meal periods.

Although Uber One continues to advertise $0 Delivery Fee benefits and member discounts, the updated terms mean users will have to meet more conditions, face more variability, and navigate more exceptions to access these perks.
