Uber One Removing Service Fee Discount from April 2026 & Introducing Family Sharing
Uber has announced upcoming changes to its Uber One membership, including the removal of the service fee discount from the program. The change will take effect from April 9, 2026, as part of an update to the membership’s benefits.
The service fee discount previously helped reduce the additional charge applied to many food, grocery, and retail delivery orders. While Uber One members will still receive $0 delivery fee on eligible orders, the service fee will no longer be discounted after the change takes effect.
New Family Sharing Feature Introduced
Alongside the change, Uber is introducing a new feature that allows members to share their Uber One benefits with one additional family member at no extra cost. The added user will receive the same core benefits under the primary membership.
According to Uber, the update aims to expand the value of the program while focusing on its main features.
Benefits That Will Remain
After April 9, 2026, Uber One members will continue to receive several existing perks. These include $0 delivery fee on eligible restaurant, grocery and retail orders, along with 5% Uber One credits on eligible rides, which can be used toward future trips or meals.
The updated benefits will apply automatically to all active Uber One memberships once the change takes effect.
