What the weekly subscription covers

Carbar describes its service as an all-inclusive weekly car subscription. Insurance, registration, servicing and roadside assistance are bundled into the fee, while fuel, tolls and infringements remain your responsibility. This can make the weekly cost easier to plan for than buying or financing a car, particularly when you want access to a vehicle without a long-term ownership commitment.

There is no lock-in contract. Carbar says you need to give two weeks’ notice to swap or cancel, which is a material advantage if your vehicle needs could change soon after starting a subscription.

Pickup and account setup

Create your Carbar account online, then arrange a collection time for your vehicle. Pickup is available in Sydney, Brisbane and Melbourne. Account creation is free.

Price-match requirements

Carbar has a price-match guarantee for a lower competitor subscription fee on the same vehicle make, model, grade or variant and year. The competing fee must include GST and delivery charges. Email Carbar with the evidence before your subscription application is approved.

The guarantee is limited to customers who have not held a Carbar subscription in the 12 months before their application. It excludes clearance sales and inventory reductions due to stock liquidation.
