Oporto Launches 4-Fillet Big Papa Bondi Burger for Father’s Day Weekend
Oporto has launched a new Big Papa Bondi Burger for $18, taking its signature chicken burger and stacking it with four fresh-grilled chicken breast fillets for a very limited Father’s Day weekend release.
The oversized burger became available on Friday, September 4, 2026 and is scheduled to disappear after Father’s Day, Sunday, September 6, giving you just three days to try it at participating Oporto restaurants.

The Big Papa Bondi Burger Has Four Chicken Fillets
The new Big Papa uses the familiar ingredients from Oporto’s Bondi Burger but substantially increases the amount of chicken.
Oporto says the burger contains four fresh-grilled 100% chicken breast fillets, stacked with cheese, creamy mayonnaise, fresh lettuce and the chain’s Original Chilli Sauce. The finished burger contains a claimed 78g of protein.
It Is Only Available Until Father’s Day on September 6
Oporto confirmed the Big Papa Bondi Burger is available from September 4 until Sunday, September 6, 2026, meaning the promotion runs across the Father’s Day weekend only.
The burger is available at participating Oporto restaurants, so availability is not guaranteed at every location.
The Launch Comes During Oporto’s 40th Birthday Celebrations
The Big Papa arrives while Oporto is celebrating 40 years of the Bondi Burger, which traces its origins to the chain’s beginnings in North Bondi in 1986. Oporto says founder Antonio Cerqueira developed the original restaurant around Portuguese-style flame-grilled chicken and Original Chilli Sauce, with local surfers and lifeguards helping inspire the Bondi Burger.
Oporto is separately running a $40,000 birthday promotion until September 14, giving verified Flame Rewards members entries into daily $1,000 prize draws when they purchase an eligible burger, burger meal or burger box. Kids meals and share meals are among the exclusions.
