Hungry Jack’s Bringing Back the Big Jack on August 25
Hungry Jack’s is bringing back one of its most recognisable limited-time burgers, with the Big Jack returning on Tuesday, August 25, 2026.
The returning range will also include the much larger Mega Jack, giving you the choice between the standard Big Jack and an upsized version featuring Whopper-sized beef patties.
Both burgers will be available for a limited time.

What’s in the Big Jack?
The Big Jack clearly takes inspiration from the format of McDonald’s famous Big Mac, but swaps in Hungry Jack’s signature flame-grilled beef.
The returning burger features:
- Two flame-grilled beef patties
- Cheese
- Lettuce
- Onions
- Pickles
- Special sauce
- Three-tier sesame seed bun
The extra middle section of bun gives the Big Jack its distinctive three-tier construction, while the flame-grilled patties provide the familiar Hungry Jack’s beef flavour.
Mega Jack Is Also Returning
If the regular Big Jack isn’t big enough, Hungry Jack’s is also bringing back the Mega Jack.
The Mega Jack follows a similar concept but uses two larger Whopper-sized flame-grilled beef patties along with a larger bun.
That makes it the substantially bigger option in the returning range and one aimed at anyone looking for something more filling than the standard Big Jack.
Big Jack vs Big Mac
It’s difficult to overlook the similarities between Hungry Jack’s Big Jack and McDonald’s Big Mac.
Both use two beef patties and a three-tier bun, along with cheese, lettuce, pickles, onions and a signature-style sauce.
One of the key differences is the beef. Hungry Jack’s uses its flame-grilled beef patties, giving the Big Jack the grilled flavour associated with the chain’s burger range.
The Mega Jack takes the concept even further by swapping the smaller patties for Whopper-sized beef patties.
Returning August 25 for a Limited Time
Both the Big Jack and Mega Jack return to Hungry Jack’s on Tuesday, August 25, 2026.
