Latest MOS Burger Australia News
If Frugal Feeds publishes new MOS Burger Australia news or a future announcement about the brand returning to Australia, the latest featured articles will appear below.
If no articles are displayed, we do not currently have a MOS Burger Australia story marked as a current featured update.
Is MOS Burger Still Open in Australia?
No. MOS Burger closed all of its Australian restaurants in August 2024.
The company’s final day of Australian trading was 31 August 2024. At the time of the announcement, MOS Burger had three remaining Australian restaurants, all located in Queensland.
The closure means there are currently no active MOS Burger Australia restaurants, Australian vouchers or local MOS Burger promotions to redeem.
When Did MOS Burger Close in Australia?
MOS Burger Australia announced in August 2024 that it would close all remaining Australian restaurants, with the final day of trading scheduled for Saturday 31 August 2024.
The company thanked Australian customers and staff for their support and advised loyalty members to use any remaining MOS Burger loyalty points before the restaurants closed.
Why Did MOS Burger Leave Australia?
MOS Burger did not publicly provide a detailed reason for withdrawing from Australia when it announced the closure of its remaining restaurants.
The Australian operation had become significantly smaller before the final closure. By August 2024, only three MOS Burger restaurants remained in the country.
Because the company did not provide a detailed explanation, claims about the precise reason for the Australian exit should be treated as speculation.
Former MOS Burger Australia Locations
MOS Burger’s final three Australian restaurants were located in Queensland:
- Sunnybank
- Southport
- Upper Mount Gravatt
MOS Burger originally entered the Australian market in 2011, opening its first Australian restaurant at Sunnybank in Queensland.
The Australian restaurant network expanded beyond the original Sunnybank location before contracting in the years leading up to the brand’s 2024 departure.
MOS Burger Brisbane & Queensland
MOS Burger’s Australian presence was concentrated in Queensland. This means many previous searches for MOS Burger Australia were specifically related to Brisbane, Sunnybank, Garden City or the Gold Coast.
Its final Queensland stores included Sunnybank, Upper Mount Gravatt and Southport before all Australian operations ended in August 2024.
If MOS Burger announces a future return to Brisbane, Queensland or another Australian market, Frugal Feeds will be able to feature that update in the current-news section at the top of this page.

Menu products changed throughout MOS Burger’s time in Australia, and the Australian range was not identical to the menus available in Japan or other international MOS Burger markets.
MOS Day Deals
MOS Day was one of the promotional events previously used by MOS Burger Australia.
For example, Frugal Feeds previously reported a MOS Day promotion featuring a discounted Teriyaki Black Pepper Burger and large iced tea.
MOS Day offers listed in the archive below are historical Australian promotions and are no longer redeemable.
MOS Burger Loyalty Points in Australia
MOS Burger previously operated a loyalty program for Australian customers.
When the Australian closure was announced in 2024, members were advised to redeem their remaining loyalty points before the final day of trading on 31 August.
Former Australian MOS Burger loyalty points are therefore no longer redeemable through MOS Burger Australia.
Can You Still Get MOS Burger in Australia?
There are currently no MOS Burger restaurants operating in Australia.
MOS Burger remains an international Japanese fast-food brand, but Australian customers would need to visit a country where MOS Burger currently operates to purchase from the chain.
Any future announcement that MOS Burger is returning to Australia should be checked against a current official announcement rather than old restaurant listings, delivery pages or previous deal articles.
Are Old MOS Burger Coupons Still Valid?
No. Previous MOS Burger Australia coupons, vouchers, loyalty offers and promotional prices should be considered expired because the Australian restaurant business closed in 2024.
Old promotions remain on Frugal Feeds as an archive and can be useful for looking back at previous MOS Burger Australia prices, products and promotional activity.
Previous MOS Burger Deals & Promotions
The articles below are previous or non-current MOS Burger promotions and news published on Frugal Feeds.
These deals are historical and are no longer available in Australia. They are retained as an archive of MOS Burger’s former Australian promotions and restaurant activity.
