McDonald’s Adds World of Warcraft Rewards to MyMacca’s Including 14 Days Game Time, Pet and Transmog
McDonald’s Australia has launched a new World of Warcraft Partner Rewards promotion through the MyMacca’s App, allowing members to redeem MyMacca’s Rewards points for digital World of Warcraft items or game time.
The promotion includes 14 Days of World of Warcraft Game Time, the Lil’ Ragnaros companion pet, and the Red Hot Portable Bakery transmog.
McDonald’s says the rewards are available through the MyMacca’s App until January 22, 2027, or while stocks last. Once a reward has been redeemed in the app, the resulting code must be claimed through Battle.net by January 31, 2027.

What World of Warcraft Rewards Are Available?
There are three rewards included in the promotion:
- 14 Days of World of Warcraft Game Time
- Lil’ Ragnaros companion pet
- Red Hot Portable Bakery transmog
McDonald’s describes the promotion as a way to either explore Azeroth “on us” with 14 days of game time or customise your character with one of the two in-game items.
The main promotion page states that each World of Warcraft reward can be unlocked for 2,000 MyMacca’s Rewards points.
However, McDonald’s redemption instructions on the same page currently say to choose a reward and redeem it using 1,000 points. That conflicts with both the main promotional copy and the individual in-app reward listings, which show 2,000 points, so customers should check the MyMacca’s App for the actual points cost before redeeming.
14 Days of World of Warcraft Game Time
One of the available rewards provides 14 days of World of Warcraft Game Time.
The 14-day period starts from the time the code is claimed on the customer’s Battle.net account.
The code provides access to both:
- World of Warcraft
- World of Warcraft: Classic
McDonald’s notes that the most recent modern World of Warcraft expansion is sold separately.
Only one 14 Days of Game Time reward can be redeemed per eligible World of Warcraft account.
Lil’ Ragnaros Companion Pet
Players can also redeem points for the Lil’ Ragnaros companion pet.
The pet can accompany players through their World of Warcraft adventures and is available to eligible new and existing World of Warcraft customers.
A World of Warcraft subscription or active Game Time is required to access the pet.
The reward is not available in World of Warcraft: Classic, and it cannot be redeemed on a World of Warcraft account that already owns Lil’ Ragnaros.
Red Hot Portable Bakery Transmog
The third reward is the Red Hot Portable Bakery transmog, a cosmetic item that can be displayed on the back of a World of Warcraft character.
Like the Lil’ Ragnaros pet, the cosmetic reward requires an account with active World of Warcraft Game Time or a subscription.
It is also not available in World of Warcraft: Classic and cannot be claimed on an account that already owns the item.
How to Redeem the World of Warcraft Rewards
To redeem one of the rewards:
- Open the MyMacca’s App.
- Select Rewards & Deals.
- Scroll down to Partner Rewards.
- Choose the World of Warcraft reward you want.
- Redeem the reward using the required MyMacca’s Rewards points.
- Copy the unique code shown in the app.
- Log into an existing Battle.net account or create a new one.
- Open your Battle.net account and select Redeem Code.
- Enter the unique code and follow the prompts.
The code must be redeemed through Battle.net by January 31, 2027.
One of Each Reward Can Be Claimed
McDonald’s FAQ states that one of each World of Warcraft reward can be claimed per MyMacca’s account and per World of Warcraft account.
For the Lil’ Ragnaros pet and Red Hot Portable Bakery transmog, the code cannot be used on a World of Warcraft account that already owns the relevant item.
This is more specific than the general terms, which also state a limit of one offer per person.
Available Until January 22, 2027
The rewards can be redeemed through the MyMacca’s App until January 22, 2027, or while supplies last.
Once redeemed, the resulting Battle.net code must be claimed by January 31, 2027.
The rewards are not available through the Macca’s website or third-party McDelivery providers.
Who Can Redeem the Rewards?
The promotion is available to eligible MyMacca’s App users with enough Rewards points.
Customers also need a Battle.net account to claim the resulting code. A new Battle.net account can be created for free if required.
McDonald’s states that the promotion must not be distributed to or redeemed by a child under 15 years.
What You Need to Play World of Warcraft
To use the rewards, players need:
- A compatible PC
- An internet connection
- A Battle.net account
- The Battle.net desktop application
The 14 Days of Game Time reward provides the necessary game time for that period, while the two in-game item rewards require an active World of Warcraft subscription or Game Time to access.
Important Conditions
The key conditions include:
- Rewards available through the MyMacca’s App
- Available until January 22, 2027, or while stocks last
- Battle.net codes must be claimed by January 31, 2027
- Rewards cannot be used with another offer
- Rewards cannot be resold, returned or exchanged for cash unless required by law
- Internet connection and valid accounts are required
- Not available through third-party McDelivery providers
- Not available through the Macca’s website
- One of each reward can be claimed per eligible MyMacca’s account and World of Warcraft account
- Existing owners of the pet or transmog cannot redeem another copy to the same World of Warcraft account
The only point that currently appears inconsistent is the points cost: McDonald’s main World of Warcraft page and the individual app listings show 2,000 points per reward, while one set of redemption instructions says 1,000 points. Based on the reward listings themselves, 2,000 points appears to be the intended amount, but customers should confirm the cost shown in their MyMacca’s App before redeeming.
