Guzman y Gomez to Open Cessnock Restaurant with $5 Burritos and Bowls on November 12
Guzman y Gomez is opening a new restaurant in Cessnock, NSW, on Thursday, November 12, 2026, and you’ll be able to pick up $5 Burritos and Bowls to celebrate.
The restaurant at 226 Wollombi Road will open at 7am, with discounted breakfast options available first. From 10:30am, the offer switches to regular Burritos and Bowls, giving you until 10pm to take advantage of the opening-day deal.

$5 Burritos and Bowls Available from Breakfast to Dinner
GYG is running two offers throughout its first day of trading, depending on when you visit.

If you’re heading in for breakfast, you can choose from the eligible Brekkie Burritos and Bowls.
From 10:30am, the regular menu takes over, with the $5 price applying to eligible full-sized Burritos and Bowls.
You can customise your order, although extras and modifications will cost more. GYG may also limit the number of discounted meals each customer can purchase during the opening celebration.
The offer is available in-restaurant only, so you’ll need to order directly at Cessnock rather than through the GYG App.
GYG Expands into the Hunter Region
The Cessnock opening adds another restaurant to Guzman y Gomez’s growing network across regional New South Wales.
Located in the Lower Hunter, Cessnock is a gateway to the Hunter Valley and home to an established local community.
The new restaurant will serve GYG’s regular menu, including Burritos, Bowls, Tacos, Nachos and Quesadillas, alongside its breakfast range.
For local customers, the opening means another option for Mexican-inspired takeaway without needing to travel to other GYG locations in the region.

Opening-day trading runs from 7am to 10pm on Thursday, November 12.
If you’re planning to visit for the $5 deal, make sure you arrive during the appropriate breakfast or regular menu period and order in person. The special applies only to the new Cessnock restaurant.
