Burger Urge Brings Back Death Wish for Halloween with $24.90 BuzzKill Burger, Limited to 50 Per Restaurant

Burger Urge is bringing back its notorious Death Wish burger range for Halloween 2026, introducing the new BuzzKill, a double beef burger topped with Carolina Reaper hot honey and multiple layers of chilli heat.
The limited-edition burger launches at 10am on Friday, October 30, with only 50 available at each Burger Urge restaurant across Australia.
Priced at $24.90, the BuzzKill comes with some unusual conditions. You’ll need to be 18 or older and sign a waiver before receiving your burger, with protective gloves and safety glasses supplied.
Burger Urge is also offering a $28.90 burger and thickshake combo exclusively to Bite Club loyalty members.

What’s in Burger Urge’s New BuzzKill Burger?
The BuzzKill combines two 100% Australian beef patties, double cheese, bacon and lettuce with a selection of spicy sauces and seasonings.
The burger includes gochujang aioli, Burger Urge’s Carnival of Carnage hot sauce and Korean chilli dust, finished with Carolina Reaper hot honey.
Carolina Reaper chillies are among the world’s hottest peppers, known for their exceptionally high capsaicin content. The addition of honey brings sweetness to the burger, while the gochujang, hot sauce and chilli dust contribute different layers of heat.
The result is a substantial double beef burger designed for customers who enjoy extremely spicy food.
Unlike a traditional competitive eating challenge, the BuzzKill is not timed. Burger Urge encourages customers to eat at their own pace.
Only 50 BuzzKill Burgers Available at Each Restaurant
Burger Urge is producing a strictly limited batch for this year’s Halloween release.
Each restaurant will receive 50 BuzzKill burgers, with sales beginning at 10am on October 30 and continuing until the allocation sells out.
Once a restaurant has sold its 50 burgers, there will be no additional batches or restocking.
That makes the launch-day allocation particularly important if you’re planning to try one. Although Halloween falls on Saturday, October 31, the burgers could sell out before then.
You can purchase the BuzzKill at the restaurant counter or order through the Burger Urge App for takeaway collection.
Both dine-in and takeaway are available, but home delivery and third-party delivery services are excluded.
Why You Need to Sign a Waiver
The BuzzKill’s intense chilli ingredients come with additional safety requirements.
Burger Urge is restricting the burger to customers aged 18 and over, and you’ll need to sign a waiver at the restaurant before receiving your order.
The waiver requires customers to acknowledge health-related conditions, including pregnancy, respiratory or heart conditions, and known allergies to chillies or capsaicin.
Burger Urge will also provide protective gloves and safety glasses with each burger to reduce the risk of accidentally getting the spicy ingredients on your skin or in your eyes.
These precautions are particularly relevant because Carolina Reaper chilli preparations can cause substantial irritation through direct contact.
If you have a known chilli sensitivity or relevant medical condition, the extreme heat makes this a product to avoid.
BuzzKill Burger and Thickshake Combo for $28.90
The BuzzKill costs $24.90 on its own, with no loyalty membership required for the burger-only purchase.
If you’re a Burger Urge Bite Club member, you can instead purchase the BuzzKill with a classic thickshake for $28.90.
That’s an additional $4 for the thickshake compared with buying the burger separately.
The combo is designed to accompany the spicy burger with a cold dairy-based drink, although a thickshake should not be treated as protection against the effects of extremely hot chilli.
Death Wish Returns with a Different Halloween Burger
Burger Urge has previously released Death Wish products for Halloween, including a promotion featuring three spicy sliders with different heat levels.
The 2026 BuzzKill replaces that format with a single double-patty burger, combining Carolina Reaper hot honey with Korean-inspired chilli ingredients.
The limited release forms part of Burger Urge’s Halloween celebrations, with the entire restaurant network participating in the 50-burger allocation.
If you’re interested in trying the BuzzKill, the key date is Friday, October 30, from 10am, when the limited batch goes on sale at Burger Urge restaurants across Australia.
