Soul Origin Launches $16.90 Big Hitter Meal, Hidden Gems and Two New Paninis Nationwide

Soul Origin has rolled out a new $16.90 Big Hitter Meal across Australia, alongside the nationwide launch of its Hidden Gems potato snack and two new Italian-inspired paninis.

The new range was announced nationally on Thursday, September 17, 2026, after Soul Origin tested the potato Gems at selected drive-thru locations. The chain says the new Big Hitter Meal and panini additions are available for a limited time.

The Big Hitter Meal Costs $16.90

The headline offer is Soul Origin’s new Big Hitter Meal for $16.90.

The meal includes a panini, a serving of Hidden Gems and Soul Origin’s SO Chilli Mayo. Soul Origin is positioning it as a value-focused lunch option, with cricketer Chris Lynn joining the chain as a new brand ambassador for the campaign.

Hidden Gems Are Now Available Nationwide

The meal also introduces customers to Soul Origin’s Hidden Gems, which are crispy potato Gems served with SO Chilli Mayo.

Hidden Gems are not entirely new. Soul Origin had previously been testing them at selected drive-thru restaurants, but the chain says customer demand from that trial prompted it to make the snack available nationwide. You do not have to order the $16.90 meal to try them. Soul Origin says Hidden Gems can also be purchased as a standalone snack.

Two New Paninis Have Joined the Menu

Soul Origin has also introduced Salami Classico and Mortadella Pesto paninis as part of the same menu update.

The Mortadella Pesto Panini is currently described on Soul Origin’s delivery listings as containing mortadella, bocconcini, rocket and basil pesto in a toasted panini.

The Salami Classico Panini combines fennel and garlic salami with tomato, Kalamata olives, pickles, rocket and aioli.

The New Range Is Available Across Australia

Soul Origin says the Hidden Gems rollout is national, rather than being restricted to the drive-thru restaurants used during the trial. The $16.90 Big Hitter Meal and two new paninis have launched alongside that wider rollout.

The main confirmed changes from September 17, 2026 are the new $16.90 Big Hitter Meal, the nationwide introduction of Hidden Gems with SO Chilli Mayo, and the new Salami Classico and Mortadella Pesto paninis, all forming part of Soul Origin’s latest limited-time menu campaign.
