Bakers Delight is marking National Hot Cross Bun Day with a nationwide giveaway, offering free hot cross buns with no purchase required. On Friday, March 13 2026, more than 500 participating bakeries across Australia will each give away 300 hot cross buns to customers.

In total, over 150,000 buns are set to be handed out across the country as part of the one-day celebration.

How the Free Bun Giveaway Works

The promotion is simple. Customers can visit a participating Bakers Delight store on March 13 and receive a free hot cross bun, with no minimum spend required.

Each store will give away 300 buns only, and the offer is strictly first come, first served. Once a store’s allocation has been claimed, the giveaway at that location will end for the day.
