Red Rooster is refreshing its burger lineup with a major change, replacing its chicken tenders with new double-breaded chicken fillets across its fried chicken burgers. At the same time, the chain is introducing a range of roast chicken burgers, giving customers a choice between crispy or slow-roasted chicken.
The update marks one of Red Rooster’s biggest menu changes in recent years, with the new fillets designed to deliver a crunchier texture and a larger, more satisfying bite than the tender strips previously used.
New Double-Breaded Chicken Fillets
The biggest change sees Red Rooster moving away from chicken tenders in its burgers in favour of chicken fillets. This is different from the processed patties used in the Kids Cheeseburger.
Each fillet is coated in a double layer of seasoned breading, creating a thicker, crunchier coating while maintaining juicy chicken inside. The upgrade brings Red Rooster’s burgers more in line with premium fried chicken sandwiches offered by competitors.
The new fillets are expected to feature across the chain’s fried chicken burger range.
Roast Chicken Burgers Join the Menu
Alongside the crispy burgers, Red Rooster is also expanding its menu with burgers made using its signature roast chicken.
The new option gives customers a lighter alternative while showcasing one of the brand’s best-known products. Rather than being limited to roast chicken packs and rolls, customers will now be able to enjoy roast chicken served in burger form.
More details on the full burger range, pricing and nationwide availability are expected as the refreshed menu rolls out across participating restaurants.
