Subway Australia has added Ghost Pepper Bread as a new limited-time bread option, bringing one of the chain’s spiciest bread varieties to the Australian menu.

Subway’s Australian website now lists Ghost Pepper Bread under its “Limited Time Only” nutritional information.

What Is Subway’s Ghost Pepper Bread?

Ghost Pepper Bread is a spicy version of Subway’s freshly baked bread designed to add heat before any fillings or sauces are added.

When Subway originally introduced the bread overseas, it described the recipe as Artisan Italian dough coated in breadcrumbs seasoned with ghost pepper, habanero and paprika, then topped with cheese and sliced jalapeños before baking.

That combination gives the bread heat from several sources rather than relying solely on the famously hot ghost pepper.

Subway Calls It Its Spiciest Bread

Subway has previously described Ghost Pepper Bread as its spiciest bread ever.

The bread first appeared on Subway’s US menu in 2024 and was later rolled out in Canada as part of its 2026 Wannabe Spicy range. In Canada, customers could use Ghost Pepper Bread with the new spicy subs or swap it into their usual Subway order.

It has now appeared on Subway Australia’s official limited-time menu information.

Available for a Limited Time

The Ghost Pepper Bread is a limited-time Subway Australia menu item, rather than a permanent addition to the bread range. Subway’s Australian nutrition page currently lists it alongside its other limited-time products.
