KFC to Debut World-First Vending Machine for Sweet Tokyo Hot & Crispy Launch

KFC Australia is set to make global headlines with the unveiling of what it calls the world’s first KFC vending machine, designed to promote its latest limited-time menu item — the Sweet Tokyo Hot & Crispy.

This unique concept marks a first for the fast-food chain, combining high-tech convenience with its signature fried chicken offerings.

The vending machine’s exact location remains a mystery, but KFC has promised to reveal it on Saturday, 18 October 2025. The brand is teasing fans to watch its social media channels closely for clues leading up to the announcement.

Introducing the Sweet Tokyo Hot & Crispy

The vending machine debut coincides with the launch of KFC’s Sweet Tokyo Hot & Crispy — a limited-edition flavour inspired by Japanese street food.

This version of KFC’s Hot & Crispy chicken features a sticky-sweet teriyaki glaze that adds a glossy coating, balanced with the crunch of the fried chicken. Each piece is finished with toasted sesame seeds, creating a blend of savoury and sweet in every bite.

The Sweet Tokyo range has been designed to bring a fresh twist to KFC’s classic chicken, merging its bold seasoning with modern Asian flavours. Available across Australia until 3 November 2025, it’s the latest in a series of international-inspired menu launches that continue to push KFC’s flavour boundaries.
