Gelato Messina Launches $4 Cheesecake Add-On at Every Store for October

The new concept starts on Tuesday, October 6, 2026 and runs until Monday, November 2, 2026, with the first version featuring Vanilla Cheesecake for $4 per scoop. Messina says the promotion will be available at all of its stores.

Add a Scoop of Vanilla Cheesecake for $4

Rather than turning cheesecake into another gelato flavour, Messina is serving actual baked cheesecake underneath your chosen gelato.

You order your usual cup or cone and can then add one or two scoops of freshly baked Vanilla Cheesecake underneath it for $4 per cheesecake scoop.

Messina describes the opening flavour as a thick and creamy vanilla cheesecake that is baked fresh before being portioned into the serving.

The $4 is an add-on price, so you will still need to pay the normal price for whichever gelato cup or cone you choose.

Cheesecake Month Runs From October 6 to November 2

The first Cheesecake Month will run for almost four weeks:

Tuesday, October 6 to Monday, November 2, 2026.

Messina has confirmed the Vanilla Cheesecake add-on will be available throughout that period at all Messina stores.

For Australian customers, Messina currently operates stores across New South Wales, Victoria, Queensland, the ACT, South Australia and Western Australia. Its official store directory also currently lists a new Geelong store as “Opening Soon” at 2/100 Little Malop Street, Geelong VIC 3220.

You Can Pair the Cheesecake With Any Gelato Scoop

The idea is deliberately different from the chunks and swirls that normally appear inside Messina’s rotating gelato specials.

Messina says it developed Cheesecake Month because mix-ins can be distributed unevenly through a batch of gelato. With the new format, the cheesecake is served as its own portion underneath your gelato, so you receive a full serving regardless of which part of the gelato tub your scoop comes from.

That means you could pair the Vanilla Cheesecake with one of Messina’s permanent flavours, one of its rotating monthly specials, or another available gelato of your choice.

Messina normally keeps a large range of classic flavours alongside monthly specials. Its current specials system says rotating flavours generally change on the first Tuesday of each month, which is also when Cheesecake Month begins on October 6.

The October gelato-special lineup has not yet been confirmed in the Cheesecake Month announcement, so any particular flavour pairing beyond Vanilla Cheesecake remains up to what is available when the promotion starts.

Vanilla Cheesecake Is Only the Beginning

Messina is describing the October promotion as the beginning of a new cheesecake series, rather than necessarily a one-off experiment.

The company says Vanilla Cheesecake is its opening flavour and suggests more Cheesecake Month variations are planned.

From October 6 until November 2, you can add a scoop of freshly baked Vanilla Cheesecake underneath any Messina gelato cup or cone for an extra $4, with one or two cheesecake scoops available.
