CommBank Adds Complimentary DoorDash DashPass to Eligible Credit Cards From September 29
CommBank is adding complimentary DoorDash DashPass membership to several of its credit cards from Tuesday, September 29, 2026, giving eligible cardholders $0 delivery fees on qualifying restaurant orders and other DashPass benefits without paying a separate DashPass subscription fee.

The new benefit is part of a wider overhaul of CommBank’s credit-card rewards taking effect from September 29. A rewards-card update published on September 28 highlighted the change ahead of its launch, while CommBank’s current credit-card documentation confirms the DoorDash benefits and activation process.
The biggest DoorDash benefit goes to CommBank Ultimate cardholders, who will also receive a $10 DoorDash credit each month when placing an eligible order with a subtotal of at least $50.

Four CommBank Credit Cards Are Getting Complimentary DashPass
CommBank’s current September 29 update lists complimentary DashPass for customers holding the Ultimate, Smart, Diamond Awards and Platinum Awards credit cards.
CommBank values the included membership at $120 per year.
For the Ultimate and Smart cards, DashPass is being added as a new benefit when the existing Ultimate Awards and Smart Awards products transition to their updated card names on September 29.
Diamond Awards and Platinum Awards cardholders are also being given the complimentary membership, with CommBank stating that the benefit is available while customers hold an open and eligible card.
The bank’s current update does not list the complimentary DashPass benefit under its standard Awards or Gold Awards cards, so you should check your exact card rather than assuming every CommBank credit card qualifies.
DashPass Includes $0 Delivery Fees on Eligible Restaurant Orders
DashPass is DoorDash’s paid membership program.
CommBank says its included membership provides benefits such as $0 delivery fees on eligible restaurant orders, although minimum order values still apply. Its Ultimate card page also lists reduced service fees and member-only offers on eligible orders among the DashPass benefits.
That does not mean every DoorDash order becomes fee-free. The $0 delivery benefit only applies to eligible DashPass merchants and orders meeting DoorDash’s applicable minimum spend, while other charges can still apply.
The membership itself does not require cardholders to pay DoorDash’s separate normal subscription price while the CommBank benefit is active.
This is also not a general giveaway for all CommBank customers. You need to hold one of the eligible credit cards, which have their own fees, interest rates, eligibility requirements and conditions.
Ultimate Cardholders Also Get $10 DoorDash Credit Every Month
CommBank Ultimate customers receive an additional DoorDash perk that is not currently listed for the Smart, Diamond Awards or Platinum Awards cards.
From September 29, Ultimate cardholders can receive a $10 DoorDash credit each month when they place an order with a subtotal of $50 or more.
If you regularly make qualifying DoorDash orders, using all 12 monthly credits would provide up to $120 per year in DoorDash credits, in addition to the complimentary DashPass membership.
CommBank’s Ultimate card information lists the DashPass membership at an approximate $120 annual value, meaning the two DoorDash components together have a headline value of up to around $240 per year before considering whether you would otherwise have paid for DashPass or placed $50 DoorDash orders each month.
The $10 monthly DoorDash credit is specifically listed under the Ultimate card benefits. CommBank’s Smart card receives DashPass but does not have the additional monthly DoorDash order credit listed in its benefits.
CommBank also says DoorDash benefits are subject to DoorDash’s terms and can be changed or removed, so they should not be treated as permanently guaranteed card features.
How to Activate Your Free DashPass From September 29
CommBank says activation will be available from Tuesday, September 29, 2026.
You will need to download or open the DoorDash app, sign in or create a DoorDash account, then add your eligible CommBank credit card to the DoorDash account and activate the complimentary DashPass membership.
CommBank lists the process as:
- Download the DoorDash app.
- Log in or create a DoorDash account.
- Add your eligible CommBank card.
- Activate the complimentary DashPass membership.
You do not activate the benefit by simply holding the credit card. The eligible CommBank card needs to be linked with your DoorDash account before the complimentary membership is activated.
The DoorDash launch forms part of a much larger CommBank rewards change. The CommBank Awards program closes on September 29, with eligible customers moving toward CommBank Yello points, while the new Yello points experience begins from October 1, 2026.
For food-delivery customers, however, the immediate takeaway is simpler: if you already hold an eligible CommBank Ultimate, Smart, Diamond Awards or Platinum Awards card, check DoorDash from September 29 because you may be able to activate complimentary DashPass valued by CommBank at $120 per year. Ultimate cardholders should also receive the separate $10 monthly DoorDash credit on eligible $50+ orders.
