Fishbowl Celebrates 10 Years with $10 Bowls Nationwide on October 10

FISHBOWL is becoming THISBOWL across Australia, with the Bondi-born restaurant chain rolling out its new name across more than 60 locations in New South Wales, Victoria and Queensland.

To celebrate both the rebrand and its 10th anniversary, THISBOWL will offer $10 house-favourite bowls nationwide on Saturday, October 10, 2026.

The major birthday promotion will take place on Saturday, October 10, with house-favourite bowls reduced to $10 at THISBOWL locations around Australia.

Their current menu identifies several dishes as house favourites, including The O.G., Braised Beef, Chilli Chicken and Miso Eggplant, although menus can vary by restaurant and the company has not yet published a definitive list of every bowl that will qualify for the October 10 deal.

The nationwide deal follows a similar $10 bowl promotion held for the reopening of the brand’s original Bondi Beach flagship on September 26.

FISHBOWL Is Now THISBOWL

The name change comes 10 years after the first FISHBOWL opened in Bondi Beach in 2016.

When the chain launched, its menu was heavily focused on seafood, with kingfish, salmon and tuna making up its original protein range.

That has changed substantially over the past decade. The menu now includes options such as beef, chicken, tofu and eggplant, while salmon is the only seafood remaining on the current core lineup.

The company says the THISBOWL name better reflects what the brand has become, rather than suggesting the menu is centred entirely on fish.

Why THISBOWL?

Co-founder Nathan Dalah said the THISBOWL name was already being used when the company expanded to New York.

The idea is that there’s a bowl for different tastes and dietary preferences, while retaining the identity developed under FISHBOWL.

More Than 60 Stores Are Being Rebranded

The switch won’t happen at every restaurant simultaneously.

The new name debuted with the revamped Bondi Beach flagship, while more than 60 restaurants across NSW, Victoria and Queensland are expected to carry the THISBOWL branding by mid-October.

Around 20 Sydney locations had already switched branding by late September.

The familiar scribbled fish logo and build-your-own bowl format are staying, despite the new company name.

The key date is Saturday, October 10, 2026, when THISBOWL will celebrate its tenth birthday with $10 house-favourite bowls nationwide.

The promotion marks a decade since the chain’s first Bondi restaurant opened and comes as the FISHBOWL name is progressively replaced by THISBOWL across Australia.
