McDonald’s Australia is launching a month of daily Golden Deals throughout September 2026, with a different MyMacca’s App offer available each day and the chance to win free Macca’s for life.
The promotion begins on Tuesday, September 1, 2026, with the first five deals including a $3 Big Mac, $2.50 Large Chips, discounted meal bundles and a Double Points day.
Every qualifying Golden Deal you purchase also gives you an entry into McDonald’s new McGold Card competition, with eight McGold Cards up for grabs.

$3 Big Mac Kicks Things Off on September 1
The first Golden Deal lands on Tuesday, September 1, when you’ll be able to pick up a Big Mac for just $3.
It is followed on Wednesday by one of the larger-value offers of the opening week: an $8.95 Small McChicken Meal with 6 Chicken McNuggets.
Thursday brings Large Fries for $2.50, while Friday features an $8.95 Small Double Cheeseburger Meal plus a Chicken ‘n’ Cheese.
On Saturday, September 5, the promotion switches from discounted food to Double MyMacca’s Points.
Every Golden Deal Can Get You an Entry to Win a McGold Card
The daily deals are part of a much larger McDonald’s promotion bringing the legendary McGold Card to Australia for the first time.
There are eight McGold Cards available in the national competition. Each is advertised as providing Macca’s for life, calculated as $30 per week for 40 years and valued at $62,400.
There are also 40 Macca’s for a Year silver cards, each valued at $1,560.
The total maximum prize pool is $561,600.
How to Enter the McGold Card Competition
To enter, you’ll need the MyMacca’s App and must opt into the competition.
You can then earn an entry by making an eligible purchase through the app at a participating McDonald’s restaurant during September.
McDonald’s says specially marked Golden Deals qualify, as do other eligible food and beverage purchases made through the app.
There is a maximum of one competition entry per person per day, so making several qualifying purchases on the same day won’t provide additional entries.
McDelivery, McDonald’s website orders and third-party delivery orders such as Uber Eats and DoorDash don’t qualify for competition entries.
Register Before September 1 for a Bonus Entry
You don’t have to wait until September to get started.
McDonald’s is encouraging you to register in the MyMacca’s App before September 1, which will secure a bonus entry when the promotion begins.
That means it is worth registering early if you plan to enter the McGold Card competition, even if you’re waiting for September’s Golden Deals before making a purchase.
Golden Deals Are MyMacca’s App Exclusives
The September Golden Deals are available only through the MyMacca’s App at participating restaurants.
For the daily offers, the standard conditions include:
- One redemption per person
- Each offer is available for a limited time
- Cannot be combined with another offer
- Additional ingredients and customisations may cost extra
- Must be redeemed in a single transaction
- McDelivery and McDonald’s website orders are excluded
- Participating restaurants only
Because these are daily promotions, you’ll also need to redeem each deal during its advertised availability period rather than saving it for another day.
McGold Card Competition Runs All September
The national McGold Consumer Promotion officially runs from 12:01am AEST on September 1 until 11:59pm AEST on September 30, 2026.
It is open to Australian residents aged 15 and over, with entrants under 18 requiring parental or guardian consent.
McDonald’s will draw eight McGold Card winners and 40 Macca’s for a Year winners, making September’s Golden Deals more than a month-long run of discounted menu items.
For bargain hunters, however, you don’t need to win anything to get some value from the promotion. With a $3 Big Mac on September 1, $2.50 Large Fries on September 3 and two $8.95 meal bundles during the opening four days, September is shaping up to be a busy month for McDonald’s deals.
