And now for the even worse news. KFC Tasmania did not discontinue these disgusting burgers on the 31st October as promised. Instead we got an email on November 2nd that says it’s still only in Tasmania but not forever. So presumably they have more pickles and famous (famously flat) fillets to dispose of due to a lack of demand. Which means, still no original fillets for us. This is our punishment for not wanting to go back for seconds after being sickened by the first one we ordered. 🙄
The famous burger is horrible. The taste is yuck. Bring back the original burger. In Launceston they tell you the original burger is not available and the Famous Burger has replaced it. If that is the case don’t bother ordering it. The Famous Burger is a flop. Yucky tasting and slimy. KFC…. NOT a good idea!!!!
The famous burger is disgusting, the pickles are pretty much cucumber slices and even if you take them out, the flavour has made its way throughout the burger. The worst part is they’ve taken away the original recipe burger but didn’t tell us until our order arrived with the new disgusting burger. Probably a good thing because it put my children off KFC which we shouldn’t be eating anyway.
On the contrary!! I love these burgers!! I was in Tassie for the weekend and had kfc 3 times just for these burgers!!
Get one into you, you don’t regret it!!
These are absolutely disgusting. I love pickles, but these pickles are dreadful. More like limp cucumber slices that have been sitting in their own stagnant, slimy water for too long, then waved lightly over an open bottle of vinegar made from the finest (cheapest) spoiled wine they could get their hands on. The Famous Fillets themselves are just thin slices of a regular fillet, in a crumbly light batter. How is this famous??? The worst part is, they’ve taken regular fillets and fillet burgers off the menu completely to make us try this horrible crud. I’ll be glad when the promotion’s over and we can get our normal fillet burgers back. It’s bad enough they changed the recipe earlier this year for their potato and gravy, which is now a foul flavoured, inedible stodge. It’d be nice if they switched that back to the original recipe at the end of the month too.
