The café chain is also launching a new Coffee Crumble Muffin, which will be available for $5 with any coffee purchase from October 1 to October 25 at selected Jamaica Blue cafés. The new promotion was announced on September 2.

Buy One Coffee and Get a Small Coffee Free

To claim the International Coffee Day deal, head to a Jamaica Blue café on Thursday, October 1 and purchase any coffee from the menu.

You’ll then receive a second small hot or iced coffee free. Jamaica Blue’s published promotion information says the qualifying purchase itself can also be either hot or iced.

That makes the offer useful whether you’re buying two coffees to share or simply want a second drink for yourself.

The promotion announcement says to visit any Jamaica Blue café, although individual café trading hours will vary. Jamaica Blue provides a national store locator where you can check your nearest location.

Alternative Milk Is Included

There is some good news if you normally pay extra for a different milk.

Jamaica Blue has confirmed that alternative milks are included in the free-coffee promotion.

There are, however, additional charges if you customise the free drink beyond the standard offer.

Upsizing, extra coffee shots and syrups will cost extra, so the complimentary component is specifically a small eligible hot or iced coffee.

The announcement does not state that you need to be a Jamaica Blue Rewards member to participate. Unless further terms are released closer to October 1, the published redemption instructions simply require you to visit a café and purchase an eligible coffee.

Jamaica Blue Is Also Launching a Coffee Crumble Muffin

The International Coffee Day promotion will coincide with the arrival of a new Coffee Crumble Muffin.

Jamaica Blue describes the muffin as being made using its Signature Blend coffee, with icing and a crumble topping.

Rather than having a standalone promotional price, the muffin will be available for $5 when you purchase a coffee.

That deal begins on October 1 and runs until October 25, 2026. Unlike the free-coffee promotion, Jamaica Blue says the muffin offer will only be available at selected cafés.

The Free Coffee Deal Is Only for October 1

The two promotions have different availability periods.

The buy one coffee, get one small coffee free offer is available on Thursday, October 1 only, coinciding with International Coffee Day.

The Coffee Crumble Muffin promotion lasts considerably longer, running from October 1 through October 25 at participating locations.

Jamaica Blue has not published an advertised maximum number of free coffees in the announcement, nor has it stated a national stock allocation. As with any one-day café promotion, availability may still depend on individual café operations and trading hours.

Jamaica Blue Opened Its First Café on October 1

October 1 also has some significance for the Australian café chain beyond International Coffee Day.

Jamaica Blue says it opened its first café in Miranda, NSW on October 1, 1992, meaning this year’s promotion falls on the anniversary of the company’s first Australian location.

The chain now operates cafés across Australia as well as several international markets.

Individual Jamaica Blue cafés are locally owned and operated, and the company notes that regular menu pricing can vary between locations.

If you regularly buy coffee from Jamaica Blue, Thursday, October 1 is the date to remember.

Purchase any eligible hot or iced coffee in-store and you’ll receive a second small hot or iced coffee free, with alternative milk included. Upsizing, additional shots and syrups cost extra.

You can also add the new Coffee Crumble Muffin for $5 with a coffee purchase, with that separate promotion continuing at selected cafés until October 25, 2026.
