TGI Fridays Is Giving Dads a Free Pint This Father’s Day, But You Need to Book by September 4

TGI Fridays Australia has a Father’s Day free beer promotion for Sunday, September 6, 2026, giving eligible dads a complimentary pint of Great Northern Super Crisp Lager when dining at participating restaurants.

There is an important catch if you want to claim it: your Father’s Day table must be booked on or before Friday, September 4, and the qualifying visit must include a minimum $25 spend. Walk-ins are specifically excluded.

Book by September 4 to Get Dad a Free Pint

TGI Fridays’ official terms confirm that dads receive one free pint of Great Northern Super Crisp Lager with an eligible Father’s Day booking. In South Australia, the promotional drink is specified as an imperial pint.

The booking needs to be made no later than Friday, September 4, 2026, for dining on Father’s Day, Sunday, September 6. That means September 4 is the final day to make a qualifying reservation.

You don’t need to enter a promotional code in the published terms. The key requirement is making the Father’s Day booking before the deadline and then meeting the minimum spend when you dine.

You Need to Spend at Least $25

The complimentary beer is subject to a minimum $25 spend during your Father’s Day visit. TGI Fridays’ terms do not specify that the $25 needs to be spent specifically by Dad, only that the offer is subject to the minimum qualifying spend.

You should therefore expect to spend at least $25 on the qualifying visit before receiving the promotional pint.

TGI Fridays has not advertised this as a completely free walk-in giveaway. It is better viewed as a free drink included with an eligible Father’s Day dining booking.

The Father’s Day Deal Is Not Available in Queensland

The promotion has a significant geographical exclusion: Queensland restaurants are not participating.

TGI Fridays’ published terms explicitly state that the Father’s Day offer is not available in Queensland.

That rules out Queensland locations including TGI Fridays Sunshine Plaza in Maroochydore, Robina and Surfers Paradise.

You Can’t Combine the Free Pint With Another Offer

TGI Fridays says the Father’s Day promotion cannot be used in conjunction with another offer.

That matters because the chain regularly runs other restaurant promotions, loyalty rewards and meal deals. You shouldn’t assume you can stack one of those discounts with the free Father’s Day beer on the same qualifying transaction.

The terms do not provide an alternative drink for customers who do not drink alcohol and do not state that Great Northern Zero or another soft drink can be substituted.

Because the complimentary item is alcoholic, normal Australian liquor licensing and responsible-service requirements also continue to apply.

How Much Is Great Northern Super Crisp Normally?

TGI Fridays’ drink prices vary between restaurants.

For context, its current Frankston drinks menu lists a Great Northern Super Crisp schooner at $8.90, while its Marion menu lists a schooner at $9.50.

The Father’s Day promotion provides a pint rather than those standard schooner serves, so those prices shouldn’t be treated as the exact retail value of the complimentary drink.

They do, however, give you some context for the value of adding a tap beer to a TGI Fridays meal.

You Don’t Need to Be a MyFridays Member

Unlike some TGI Fridays promotions, the published Father’s Day terms do not state that MyFridays loyalty membership is required.

The requirements TGI Fridays specifically lists are the advance booking, dining on September 6, the $25 minimum spend, and the other exclusions described above.

If you were already planning to eat at TGI Fridays on Father’s Day, booking by September 4 effectively adds the beer at no extra cost once you meet the qualifying spend.
