McDonald’s McCafé Tray Bag Gets a Second Release on October 14

McDonald’s Australia will release another batch of its limited-edition McCafé Tray Bag at 9am AEDT on Wednesday, October 14, 2026.

The second drop follows the first release of 100 bags on October 9, which reportedly sold out in around 15 seconds.

How to Get the McCafé Tray Bag

For the second release, customers will need to use the MyMacca’s App and purchase one of McDonald’s two new drinks launching on October 14:

• Iced Tiramisu Latte with Cold Foam
• Red Bull Strawberries & Cream Energiser

The second release is scheduled to begin at 9am AEDT on October 14.

McDonald’s has not publicly confirmed how many bags will be available in the second allocation, so purchasing a qualifying drink should not be treated as a guarantee that you will receive a bag.

First Release Sold Out in Seconds

McDonald’s initially released 100 McCafé Tray Bags for free at midday on October 9 through its dedicated Tray Bag website.

The company promoted the first release as first in, best dressed, and the entire allocation reportedly disappeared within approximately 15 seconds.

McDonald’s had already confirmed that another drop would follow, although its original October 7 announcement did not provide the second release conditions.

What Is the McCafé Tray Bag?

The McCafé Tray Bag is a limited-edition handbag based on McDonald’s familiar cardboard drink carrier.

It comes in a dark fig colour with gold hardware, a shoulder strap, zip pocket and dedicated spaces designed to hold takeaway drinks.

The product was created with Wieden+Kennedy Sydney after the team noticed customers on social media using ordinary McDonald’s drinks trays to carry items such as phones, sunglasses and headphones.

The second drop coincides with McDonald’s national launch of the Iced Tiramisu Latte, Red Bull Strawberries & Cream Energiser and a new Affogato on October 14.

Given the first 100 bags reportedly sold out almost immediately, customers interested in the second release should expect very limited availability.
