McDonald’s Australia is testing a new McCafé Affogato, combining its soft serve with a shot of espresso.

The new dessert and coffee combination has been spotted at selected McDonald’s restaurants in NSW, including Bexley and Lakemba.

McCafé Affogato

The standard Affogato – McCafé is priced at around $4.80 at participating trial locations.

It combines McDonald’s soft serve with a shot of McCafé espresso, creating McDonald’s take on the traditional Italian affogato.

The menu lists the serving at 1,050kJ.

Hazelnut Affogato

McDonald’s is also testing a flavoured version, the Hazelnut Affogato – McCafé, priced at around $5.55.

It combines the soft serve and espresso with hazelnut flavouring and is listed at 1,240kJ.

Only Available at Selected NSW Stores

The McCafé Affogato range appears to be a limited trial rather than a nationwide menu launch.

It is currently available at selected NSW McDonald’s restaurants, with Bexley and Lakemba among the locations offering the new items.

Pricing and availability may vary between restaurants while the trial is underway.
