McDonald’s Pokémon Happy Meals Returning to Australia in November with 15 Toys and Trading Cards
McDonald’s Australia is bringing back Pokémon Happy Meals in November 2026, with a new collection of 15 Pokémon toys and 15 trading cards to collect.
This time, you’ll get one Pokémon toy and two trading cards with each eligible Happy Meal, combining physical collectibles with the Pokémon Trading Card Game.
Australia is among the first countries to receive the promotion, which celebrates Pokémon’s 30th anniversary.
The Pokémon Company officially announced the collaboration on October 29, while specialist Pokémon publication PokéBeach reports that the Australian promotion will run from Thursday, November 5 to Wednesday, December 9, 2026.
Those dates have been reported following checks with restaurants but have not yet been publicly confirmed by McDonald’s Australia.

15 Pokémon Toys to Collect in the New Happy Meals
Rather than traditional Pokémon figurines, this year’s toys are designed to look like miniature Happy Meal boxes featuring Pokémon characters.
The collection includes 15 different designs, with familiar characters such as Pikachu, Rowlet and Sprigatito among those featured.
Each miniature box has an extendable keyring attachment, allowing you to clip it onto a bag, backpack or keys.
There are also three special Happy Meal packaging designs featuring Pikachu, Umbreon and Torchic.
It’s a different approach from recent McDonald’s Pokémon promotions, which have largely focused on trading cards. According to PokéBeach, this marks the first time since 2018 that the collaboration has included plastic Pokémon toys.
Two Pokémon Trading Cards Included with Every Happy Meal
You’ll also receive two randomly selected Pokémon Trading Card Game cards from a special 15-card collection.
Seven cards feature a holographic finish, giving collectors another reason to look out for different packs.
The promotional cards are reprints from existing Pokémon sets with special McDonald’s numbering, rather than entirely new card designs.
Unlike previous collaborations that included four-card booster packs, the 2026 promotion pairs two cards with a physical toy.
If you’re hoping to complete both collections, there are 15 toys and 15 different cards available, although the items you receive will depend on the assortment supplied with your Happy Meal.
When Do Pokémon Happy Meals Start in Australia?
The Pokémon Company has confirmed that Australia will be part of the initial November rollout alongside New Zealand, Fiji, Canada, France, Spain and the United States.
Reports show the Australian promotion will begin on November 5, five days before the confirmed US launch on November 10.
The collectibles will be available for a limited time at participating McDonald’s restaurants, while stocks last.
The return is particularly notable for collectors because you’ll receive both a toy and trading cards in one Happy Meal, rather than the card-focused packs offered in recent years.
With Pokémon celebrating its 30th anniversary, the new miniature Happy Meal designs and special trading card collection give Australian fans two different sets of collectibles to look out for when the promotion arrives.
