McDonald’s is bringing Pokémon Happy Meals back to Australia from Thursday, November 5, 2026, featuring 15 collectible toys and a special 15-card Pokémon Trading Card Game collection.
This time, you’ll receive one miniature Pokémon Happy Meal box toy and two randomly selected trading cards with each eligible Happy Meal.
Seven of the trading cards feature holographic finishes, while the toys include popular characters such as Pikachu, Eevee, Charmander and Squirtle.
The promotion is expected to run until Wednesday, December 9, according to Pokémon specialist PokéBeach.

All 15 Pokémon Happy Meal Toys to Collect
The 2026 collection takes a different approach from traditional Pokémon figurines.
Each toy is designed to resemble a miniature Happy Meal box featuring a Pokémon character, complete with an extendable attachment that lets you clip it onto a bag or backpack.
There are 15 designs to collect:
- Pikachu
- Eevee
- Umbreon
- Bulbasaur
- Charmander
- Squirtle
- Weedle
- Torchic
- Piplup
- Munchlax
- Minccino
- Espurr
- Rowlet
- Sobble
- Sprigatito
The regular Happy Meal packaging also gets a Pokémon makeover, with three special box designs featuring Pikachu, Umbreon and Torchic.
If you’re hoping to collect a particular Pokémon, availability will depend on the toys supplied to your local restaurant.
Which Pokémon Trading Cards Are Included?
Alongside the toys, McDonald’s is introducing a 15-card Pokémon TCG collection, featuring reprinted card artwork with special McDonald’s promotional numbering.
The biggest difference from previous Pokémon Happy Meals is that you now get two cards alongside a physical toy, rather than a four-card booster pack.
The complete collection includes:
| Pokémon Card | Holographic |
|---|---|
| Decidueye | No |
| Chandelure | Yes |
| Palafin | Yes |
| Pikachu | Yes |
| Mimikyu | Yes |
| Lucario | Yes |
| Hawlucha | No |
| Tyranitar | Yes |
| Absol | No |
| Zoroark | No |
| Metagross | No |
| Jirachi | Yes |
| Eevee | No |
| Snorlax | No |
| Wooloo | No |
The seven holographic cards are Chandelure, Palafin, Pikachu, Mimikyu, Lucario, Tyranitar and Jirachi.
Cards are randomly selected, so you won’t necessarily receive a holographic card or your preferred Pokémon with every purchase.
How Much Will Pokémon Happy Meals Cost in Australia?
The collectibles will be included with eligible McDonald’s Happy Meals rather than sold as a separately advertised meal bundle.
Standard Happy Meals currently start from $6.95 for pickup at participating Australian restaurants.
You can choose from the usual Happy Meal options, including burgers, Chicken McNuggets and other available mains, with eligible sides and drinks.
The promotion celebrates Pokémon’s 30th anniversary, with Australia among the first countries receiving the new collection.
The toys and trading cards will be available at participating restaurants for a limited time, while stocks last.
