McDonald’s Australia has cut the number of MyMacca’s Rewards points needed for two of its biggest streaming Partner Rewards, with one month of Kayo Premium now costing 7,000 points and six months of BINGE Basic dropping to 8,000 points.

McDonald’s Australia has cut the number of MyMacca’s Rewards points needed for two of its biggest streaming Partner Rewards, with one month of Kayo Premium now costing 7,000 points and six months of BINGE Basic dropping to 8,000 points.

Both offers are available to new and returning customers, rather than people with an active subscription, and can be claimed through the MyMacca’s app until January 15, 2027, subject to availability. The resulting codes need to be redeemed with Kayo or BINGE by January 31, 2027.

The reductions are substantial. McDonald’s was previously advertising 12,000 points for Kayo Premium and 10,000 points for BINGE Basic, meaning Kayo has dropped by 5,000 points while BINGE has dropped by 2,000.

Kayo Premium Has Dropped From 12,000 to 7,000 Points

The bigger reduction applies to Kayo.

You can now exchange 7,000 MyMacca’s points for one month of Kayo Premium, down from the previous requirement of 12,000 points. That is a reduction of roughly 42% in the points needed.

Kayo Premium currently costs $45.99 per month at its standard price and allows you to stream on two compatible devices at the same time, with selected content available in 4K. It includes more than 50 sports live and on demand, including AFL, NRL, Formula 1, cricket and golf.

The new redemption launched alongside McDonald’s and Kayo’s September campaign as the AFL and NRL finals continue. McDonald’s now prominently advertises the 7,000-point Kayo reward through both its homepage and Partner Rewards hub.

There is an important eligibility restriction. Current active Kayo subscribers cannot use the offer. You need to be either completely new to Kayo or a returning customer whose previous subscription is no longer active.

After the free month finishes, Kayo Premium automatically renews at the standard $45.99 monthly price unless you cancel. A valid payment method is therefore required when activating the reward.

BINGE Has Also Dropped From 10,000 to 8,000 Points

McDonald’s live Partner Rewards page now lists six months of BINGE Basic for 8,000 MyMacca’s points, down from the previous 10,000-point price.

That represents a 20% reduction in the points required.

BINGE Basic currently costs $10 per month, so six months would ordinarily total $60 at the current standard monthly price. The Basic plan is ad-supported and includes BINGE’s entertainment catalogue plus more than 40 live channels.

On a simple face-value comparison, that means you are exchanging:

8,000 points for up to $60 of BINGE Basic, or about $7.50 of subscription value per 1,000 points.

For Kayo, 7,000 points gets one month currently priced at $45.99, equivalent to roughly $6.57 of subscription value per 1,000 points.

As with Kayo, existing active BINGE subscribers are not eligible. The BINGE reward is only for new customers or returning customers who no longer have an active BINGE subscription.

After the six free months finish, BINGE Basic automatically renews at its standard price, currently $10 per month, unless you cancel.

Both Rewards Have the Same January 2027 Deadlines

The redemption deadlines are essentially identical for Kayo and BINGE.

You need to exchange your MyMacca’s points for either reward by January 15, 2027. Once you have claimed a reward in the MyMacca’s app, you receive a unique code that must be activated on the relevant streaming service by January 31, 2027.

For both rewards:

  • You must be 18 or older and an Australian resident
  • You need enough MyMacca’s points in your account
  • The offer is for new or returning subscribers only
  • Current active subscribers are excluded
  • There is a limit of one redemption per person
  • The reward cannot be combined with another offer from the relevant streaming service
  • Third-party subscription or billing arrangements are excluded
  • The subscription automatically renews at the normal monthly price after the free period unless cancelled

Both can be claimed through Rewards & Deals → Partner Rewards in the MyMacca’s app until January 15, 2027, or earlier if the rewards are withdrawn or supplies are exhausted.
