The Victorian trial begins on Wednesday, September 30, 2026, with participating McDonald’s restaurants expected to offer breakfast from 4am until 11:59pm. The expanded hours cover favourites including McMuffins, Hotcakes and the Big Brekkie Burger.
For the rest of Australia, McDonald’s normal breakfast hours remain unchanged for now. The company currently lists its standard breakfast range as available in restaurants until 11:30am, with many breakfast products available through McDelivery until 10:30am.

All Day Breakfast Returns Across Victoria
From September 30, Victorian customers will be able to order the broader McDonald’s breakfast menu from early morning through to almost midnight as part of the new trial.
News.com.au reports the trial runs from 4am to 11:59pm and includes the full breakfast lineup rather than just a small selection of products.
That is a substantial expansion compared with McDonald’s current national schedule. Its official Australian menu normally states that breakfast is available in restaurants until 11:30am, while McDelivery breakfast availability generally ends at 10:30am.
McDonald’s has not announced a confirmed end date for the Victorian trial.
The company also has no current plans to expand the test beyond Victoria, according to the latest report. McDonald’s intends to assess customer demand and how the extended menu affects restaurant operations before deciding what happens next.
What You Can Order All Day
The trial is expected to include McDonald’s broader breakfast range, rather than the much smaller selection of breakfast products that have occasionally remained available later in the day.
McDonald’s current Australian breakfast menu includes products such as the Bacon & Egg McMuffin, Sausage & Egg McMuffin, Mighty McMuffin, Chicken McMuffin, Big Brekkie Burger, Hotcakes and Hash Browns.
Hotcakes are similarly normally limited to breakfast hours, with McDonald’s currently advertising three hotcakes served with butter and syrup.
Exact product availability can still vary between participating restaurants.
McDonald’s Previously Ended All Day Breakfast
The Victorian trial is particularly significant because McDonald’s previously moved away from its wider All Day Breakfast offering.
McDonald’s ended its previous Australian All Day Breakfast arrangement several years ago as the company simplified restaurant operations and concentrated the breakfast range into dedicated morning hours. The chain subsequently extended normal breakfast service in 2026, moving its restaurant cut-off to 11:30am nationally.
The new Victoria-only trial is therefore a test of whether McDonald’s can once again offer the larger breakfast range alongside its normal lunch and dinner menus.
For Victorian customers, the key change starts Wednesday, September 30. If your local restaurant is participating, you should be able to order McDonald’s breakfast from 4am until 11:59pm, instead of having to make the usual 11:30am cut-off.
